Seeking Practical Experience Toward IN-L Registration

P* is a registered builder (DB-L 75046) and managing director of a successful pre-purchase building and termite inspection company. With over 25 years of experience in the building industry and qualifications including an Advanced Diploma in Building Surveying, he is now seeking to obtain his Building Inspector – Limited (IN-L) licence for Classes 1 & 10.

P* is finding it difficult to secure practical experience opportunities due to industry capacity constraints and is hoping to connect with a building surveyor or inspector who would allow him to shadow them and gain hands-on experience. He is happy to pay for their time and is willing to travel up to 2 hours from his base in Seaholme (City of Hobsons Bay).

P* brings:

A wealth of industry knowledge
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Experience in pre-purchase inspections, pool barrier compliance, and new construction consulting

Recently retired Municipal Building Surveyor and Manager seeking part-time contract opportunities.

A recently retired Municipal Building Surveyor and Manager with more than 40 years of experience in Local Government is seeking part-time contract opportunities within the building surveying field.

Having led municipal building departments since 2000, this individual brings deep technical expertise, leadership experience, and a practical understanding of local government operations.

They are looking to remain active in the industry on a part-time basis of around two to three days per week and are open to discussing any opportunities that may be available.
