About our Memberships
- The VMBSG membership year spans from 1 July to 30 June.
- Membership offers many benefits, including discounted training and event registrations, and access to exclusive documentation and resources.
- Our membership process has been reviewed, and for the coming membership year, all membership applications (both renewing and new) will require the following steps to be processed:

Note: A payment link or invoice will be emailed after your membership update form has been submitted and assessed. To be a financial member and receive the benefits associated with membership, your invoice must be paid.

Important Information
Membership and training discounts around renewal time
To access VMBSG member rates for training, you must be a current financial member at the time you register.
As the VMBSG membership year ends on 30 June and the new membership year begins on 1 July, there may be times when members are booking training across both membership years.
If you are joining or renewing around this time, you have two options:
Option 1: Join for the upcoming membership year
If you join for the upcoming 2026/2027 membership year, you may register at member rates for upcoming VMBSG training, including training that is being booked before 30 June.
This may be the best option if you plan to attend multiple VMBSG training sessions or want to maintain member benefits beyond 30 June.
Option 2: Join for the remainder of the current membership year
If the training you wish to attend is being held before 30 June, you may choose to join for the remainder of the current membership year at the applicable pro-rated or discounted rate.
Please note that this membership will only provide access to member benefits, including training discounts, until 30 June. After that date, you will need to renew for the next membership year at the full applicable membership rate to continue receiving member benefits.
We encourage you to consider which option best suits your circumstances before completing your membership form.
Renewing your membership
Membership renewals are not automatic. All members must complete a new membership form each year.
Invoices are only issued once a completed membership form has been received.
The 2026/2027 membership form will be available from mid-May.
Pro-rated membership fees
VMBSG membership fees are normally calculated based on the quarter in which you join:
- July to September: full annual fee, 12 months
- October to December: 75% of the annual fee, 9 months
- January to March: 50% of the annual fee, 6 months
- April to June: 25% of the annual fee, 3 months
However, if you join in the final six weeks of the membership year, you will only be invoiced for one month.
