In recognition of the important role AIBS plays in representing, supporting and advancing the professional interests, practices and development of Building Surveyors across Australia, and as part of VMBSG’s positive working relationship with AIBS, current AIBS members are eligible to receive 10% off the VMBSG non-member rate for all VMBSG professional development programs.

VMBSG training is developed and delivered by municipal building surveyors, in collaboration with professional partners, for the benefit of the broader profession. Our programs support Building Surveyors, Building Inspectors and related para-professionals, with a strong emphasis on practical and professional practice, regulatory and practice consistency, and emerging and contemporary issues facing practitioners.

This initiative is a great way for current AIBS members to access VMBSG professional development at a reduced rate and stay engaged with practical training opportunities across the sector.

Of course, for those who attend VMBSG training regularly, joining VMBSG as a member offers even greater value, with access to our full VMBSG member discounted rates for training and events, along with the broader benefits of membership.

We are currently finalising the setup of ticket purchases for all VMBSG training and events to go directly through the VMBSG website. This will include a dedicated purchase option for the AIBS member discounted rate.

In the meantime, while bookings are still being processed through Eventbrite, current AIBS members will need a discount code to access the reduced rate of 10% off the VMBSG non-member price.
