Request for Assistance – Bushfire Recovery Support

Murrindindi Shire Council has requested assistance from Building Surveyors and Environmental Health Officers to support bushfire recovery efforts following the Longwood Complex fires.

Council is seeking to form at least six teams, with work expected to commence from Wednesday 11 February 2026. Based on current forecasts, the recovery process is anticipated to run for approximately 5–8 weeks, subject to conditions. Assistance may be provided on a part-time basis, depending on availability.

If you are able to assist, please get in touch. If you are not available, we encourage you to share this request with colleagues within your council, including your Environmental Health teams and networks, who may be in a position to help.
